I’m going to attempt to balance my comments on Exposed. The Car-Nivale theme combined with Halloween including booths, a nice shirt, poster, live music, all the costumes, and performers was definetly cool. The fire performers were probably my favorite part.
The show also left a lot to be desired. Aside from the obvious problems like lack of promotion, the date, and location, Exposed was not run well this time around. The lack of prior planning prevented any vendors from showing up so there were no displays and therefore almost no raffle prizes compared to previous Exposed shows. The emcee didn’t really seem to care or know much of anything about Scion. The DJ was good but his sound system was not designed for that type of event and some of his music wasn’t appropriate for kids. The entrance was not marked at all from what I saw. There was too many little tickets for all different things that weren’t labeled. Michael Kennedy didn’t throw out any free stuff from the stage so the crowd never really got excited. There weren’t near as many trophies as there were at previous shows. If there was a large turnout this would have been more of a problem. Having the Car-Nivale across the street and a ways behind the stage made for an unnecessarily long walk. The owners who attend these shows notice all this stuff and it leaves a bad impression.
If Exposed is put on a schedule and we are told where and when the next one will be with a little info while we’re actually attending Exposed would be nice. If this is possible I think that would help attendance provided the show isn’t lame.
The best part about the show was the after party at the Masquerade. The place was absolutely packed, unfortunately I don’t think that many Exposed attendees showed up. It was an awesome party with a live band, DJs, nice costumes all in a sweet club. Gaining an extra hour of sleep that night from the time change really helped out the next morning.
I’m confident control will go back to the SET Scion department like previous successful Exposed shows and not an outside company, so we have next year’s show to look forward to.

I couldn’t agree more. I have no idea why the company that flopped the South Beach event would be given a redeeming chance to pull off a more intimate and more important event. Unfortunately, many will never know the details surrounding who was involved in this show. Therefore the black eye may fall on Scion.
As a participant and owner we will now beg Scion to leave owner events to people who are more closely involved with owners and the overall goal of Scion. I guess after so many successful events we were due for a flop. Like mentioned earlier, good thing the numbers were low, this could have gotten messy.
